Eric Keogh (49.28) achieved a personal best and 2nd place in the TRIM 10-MILE ROAD RACE on Sunday morning (02.02.2020). The race was won by Ethiopian native Yared Derese of Carrick Aces in 48.00. 29 years-old Celbridge man Keogh, continues to build on his 2.18.31 marathon in Frankfurt in late October, finished well-clear of 3rd placed Hugh Armstrong (50.22) – who was runner-up in the highly competitive Raheny 5 mile a week earlier. Keogh targets to break 2.16 for the marathon in 2020. Lee Van Haeften (52.20) came 5th and club captain Craig Scott M40 (1.06.46) placed 168th.
Fergal Whitty (55.28) was the club’s lone competitor in the DUNGARVAN 10-MILE ROAD RACE, also on Sunday morning (02.02.2020). He finished 36th overall and 9th in the M40 age group. The race was won by Mick Clohissy (48.16) of Raheny Shamrocks AC.
