The Jingle Bells 5k race and family fun run takes place every year in the Phoenix Park on the first Saturday in December. The 33rd edition took place on 7 December 2024 - the winner was John Travers, of Donore Harriers, and first female was Amy Donoghue, of Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club.

The race first took place in Dublin city centre in 1991 and eventually moved to the Phoenix Park - there is a general festive feel and it is well known for its famous memento - a festive mug.

The race welcomes elite runners, club runners , fitness groups , beginners and families.

Online entry opens in September every year.
